Who does FNL support?
FNL supports New Level Baseball and Softball players and families ONLY.
Is Families of New Level a Booster Club?
No.
We are a Nonprofit Corporation registered with the State of Washington and classified as a 501c()(3) by the IRS. We do not operate as a booster club and do not follow the typical rules of a booster club. We follow State, Federal, and IRS regulations for Nonprofit Corporations.
Does FNL Charge for membership?
No.
Instead of membership dues, FNL collects 5% of funds raised via donations, fundraisers, or sponsorships.
When does FNL collect the 5%?
Every transaction with FNL there will be a 5% deduction. Transaction is defined as funds as a result of sponsorships, fundraising, donations, and events. The ONLY exception is if you are transferring your funds from New Level Booster (NLB) to FNL.
What is the 5% Used For?
The funds collected from the 5% go towards FNL scholarships and operation expenses.
The 5% will help FNL support players & families directly related to NL. Our goal is to manage sponsorships, events and fundraisers to help mitigate families’ costs that relate to playing select baseball and softball, affording players and team’s additional development & instructional opportunities, and improving access to the National Level.
Can I make a personal donation to my own child or team/teammates for a tax-deduction?
No.
The IRS strictly prohibits funds from being donated for personal tax advantage.
If you own a business, your business is allowed to make a donation in accordance with FNL policies and IRS regulations.
How do we get checks or funds to FNL?
Please do not send funds without completing a deposit form or emailing support@familiesofnewlevel.com

We will set up the account and provide the required documentation to get the transfer completed.
We will make every reasonable effort to identify funds that come in without proper documentation. Funds that are not identified within 90 calendar days of receipt will be forfeited to the FNL general fund and used at the sole discretion of the FNL board.
When sending funds for deposit what needs to be included?
Player Funds: Please indicate the player’s full name and team (with contact information).
Team Funds: Please indicate the team’s full name (coach first and last withcontact information)
We understand the related Deposit Form/Check Request may not always be available so please send an email to support@familiesofnewlevel.com and make sure contact information is sent with the form of payment.
What will FNL do if funds are received and the team, player, or purpose isn’t indicated?

How do we pay for registration fees for NL with our funds in our Player’s FNL account?
It is the parents/players responsibility to request funds from FNL to cover your player’s registration fees with NL. Please complete a Check Request form on the homepage or use the printable version on our forms page and submit back to us.
Do our funds need to be utilized the same season as earned? (Season is defined as September – August)
Team Funds: YES
Funds earned as a team, for the team, should be utilized during the same season. If the team is not able to utilize the funds earned and they request a roll over to the next season, there will be an additional 10% fee to FNL.
Player Funds: NO
Funds earned per player, will carry over as long as the player continues with NL. Once a player ages out of, or leaves, New Level any remaining funds will be forfeited to the FNL general fund and used at the sole discretion of the FNL board.
What happens to our funds if we leave NL?
If a player leaves NL (for any reason) they can request a “cash out” to close their account. However, there will be a penalty of 25% to FNL and 25% to the Team.
Does FNL provide Scholarships/Hardship Scholarships?
Yes, that is one of our main goals. We want to provide baseball player’s the opportunities to play with NL.
How do we apply or request a Scholarship?
We are in the process of building the application process. This will be completed by April 1st, 2024.
As a reminder, FNL is new and we need the funds to provide these scholarships which are where the 5% comes in. Our goal is to have Scholarship funds available as soon as possible.
How do we apply or request Sponsorships?
FNL is a non-profit 501(c)(3), with an EIN and Business License. The information is indicated on the Sponsorship Letter. This letter can be provided to you electronically to personalize.
What sponsorship options can we provide to donors?

How will FNL provide support with Sponsorship?
With the assistance of the person who requested the sponsorship, we will work with you to deliver what was promised to the sponsor. Ex. Plague, logo on banners, website and social media etc.
How are sponsorship funds for players applied?
When Sponsorship funds are sent in on behalf of an individual player, the 5% will still be deducted for FNL, as well as an additional 10% towards the team to help supply team activities.
How is team/player funds applied after a fundraiser?
When a fundraiser is started, the purpose must be outlined and what the funds are for. This will then determine if the funds go into the “team” account or “player” account. If it is decided it will contribute to both, the split will be 75% team, 20% player, 5% FNL. We will have a fundraising outline with forms completed soon.
What is the difference between FNL & NLB (New Level Booster)?
New Level Booster is a support group for multiple athletic divisions. They are two completely different organizations. FNL is NOT a booster club, we are a nonprofit corporation.
Can a team/player be part of both FNL & NLB?
Yes.
However, funds are not combined. The funds in your NLB account are separate and you have to request anything you want to use directly with NLB. If you want to transfer your funds from NLB to FNL, you will have to request it directly with NLB.
Can funds from FNL be transferred to NLB?
No.
The funds in FNL are for Baseball and Softball families only.
What can Player funds be used for?
Player funds can be used to reimburse for: Travel (Airfare, hotel, and car rental), NL Gear, NL Registration, and Tournaments. Third party lessons/camps/events? Need to match with form descriptions once decided upon.

Team funds can be used for: Travel (Airfare, hotel, and car rental), NL Gear, Tournaments, and Team Building activities.
